What is Sartox, LLC?

Formed in 1978 and based in Richmond, Virginia, SARTOX^® is devoted to helping its clients meet their information requirements in a professional and efficient manner by offering turn-key software packages, software design, and programming services.

The company accommodates both large and small customers by meeting their broad spectrum of requirements. The SARTOX^® team is experienced in providing its clients with the expertise and proficiency required in implementing an information management system amidst an ever-changing business environment.

Sartox is one of the first companies to offer and install fully integrated, mini-computer based, management information systems. In 1981, with the emergence of the mini-computer as an acceptable alternative to timesharing services and historical service bureaus, SDS^® (now Sartox®) developed ALCOR^®, providing users with all of the basic modules for order processing, manufacturing, accounting, and financial reporting. The basic concepts of that early undertaking have carried through into today's product offerings, ALCOR (client server) and the Public School Marketplace including SunPac, FORMAT, SDMS, Point-Of-Sale and Food Service applications.
